What is the difference between clip-in and sewn-in wefts?▼
Clip-in wefts can be attached and removed by yourself at home — ideal for occasional wear, photo shoots or evening events. Sewn-in wefts are stitched by a stylist onto micro braids made from your own hair — they hold firmly for several weeks and do not require daily manipulation. Clip-in wefts are more suitable for beginners and occasional use, while sewn-in wefts offer a more permanent solution for everyday wear.
How many wefts do I need for a full head?▼
It depends on the desired volume, length and density of your own hair. For full head volume, we recommend 2–4 wefts of various widths (usually one wide weft for the nape and 2–3 narrower ones for the sides). For subtle thickening or lengthening in a specific area, 1–2 wefts are enough. The total weight ranges between 100–200 g. We are happy to advise you on the selection based on your photo.
Can I color or cut wefts?▼
Yes, our wefts made from natural human hair can be colored, toned, highlighted and cut exactly to your preferences. The hair responds to color the same as your own hair, because it is 100% natural unprocessed hair. We recommend having coloring done by a professional stylist who will ensure an even result. Cutting wefts is common — the stylist can adjust the length and shape to match your hairstyle exactly.
How long do sewn-in wefts last and what does maintenance involve?▼
The weft hair itself lasts 12–24 months with proper care. The sewing onto micro braids needs to be renewed every 6–8 weeks — the stylist removes the wefts, re-braids the braids (because your own hair has grown out) and sews the wefts back. The entire process takes about 60–90 minutes. Between stylist visits, care for the hair as you would your own — wash, condition, gentle brushing.
Are wefts suitable for fine hair?▼
Wefts are most suitable for medium to thick hair that can naturally cover the weft strip. With very fine or thin hair, the weft strip may be visible, especially in wind or movement. In that case, we recommend the tape-in or keratin method, which provides more discreet bonds. If you are not sure, we are happy to advise you on the most suitable method based on a consultation.
How to properly care for weft hair?▼
Wash wefts with a gentle sulfate-free shampoo, apply conditioner from mid-lengths to tips — never near the roots or braids with sewn-in wefts. Brush hair with a wide-tooth comb, always starting from the tips. After washing, let hair air dry naturally or blow-dry on a lower temperature. Store clip-in wefts in a protective case after removal. Apply hair oil or mask once a week to maintain shine and softness.
What is the difference between machine-made and hand-tied wefts?▼
Machine-made wefts have hair machine-sewn onto a thicker textile strip — they are more durable and more affordable. Hand-tied wefts are manually tied onto a thinner strip — they are flatter, more discreet and more comfortable to wear, but more expensive. For everyday wear, we recommend hand-tied; for occasional use, machine-made is sufficient.
Can I exercise with weft hair?▼
Yes, during sports we recommend tying hair into a braid. Sewn-in wefts hold firmly and do not fall out even during intense exercise. Remove clip-in wefts during very intense sports. After swimming, rinse hair and let air dry naturally.
How many grams of wefts do I need?▼
For subtle thickening, 80–120 g is enough (1–2 wefts). For full head volume, we recommend 150–200 g (2–4 wefts). The exact amount depends on your hair density, desired length and effect. We will advise you based on your photo during a consultation.
How often does the sewing of wefts need to be renewed?▼
The braid base onto which wefts are sewn needs to be renewed every 6–8 weeks, as your own hair grows out during this time. The stylist removes the wefts, re-braids the braids closer to the roots and sews the wefts back. It takes about 60–90 minutes.
Can I straighten and curl wefts?▼
Yes, our wefts made from natural human hair can be straightened, curled and blow-dried. We recommend a maximum temperature of 180 °C and always using heat protection. The hair responds to heat the same as your own — it can be easily styled into any hairstyle.
Are wefts visible in a hairstyle?▼
With proper application, they are not. The key is that the top layer of your own hair has sufficient density to cover the weft strip. The stylist places wefts in the middle and lower section of the head, where they are naturally covered. With very thin hair, the strip may be visible in the wind.
Can I sleep with wefts?▼
With sewn-in wefts, yes — they are securely stitched in and there is no risk of coming off. Before sleeping, tie your hair in a loose braid. With clip-in wefts, no — always remove them before sleeping, just like clip-in strands.
Are wefts suitable for fine hair?▼
Wefts are most suitable for medium to thick hair that can easily cover the weft strip. With very fine hair, we recommend the tape-in or keratin method with more delicate bonds. If you are not sure, we will advise you on the most suitable method during a consultation.
Can wefts be combined with other extension methods?▼
Yes, many clients combine wefts with other methods — for example, wefts at the nape for volume and tape-in on the sides for face framing. Combining methods allows for an optimal result. The stylist will advise you on the best combination based on your hair type and requirements.
