Lifespan by method
Clip-in: with proper care 1–2 years. Depends on wearing frequency.
Tape-in: tapes last 6–8 weeks, the hair itself can be re-taped 2–3 times.
Keratin: bond lasts 3–5 months. Hair can be reapplied.
Micro ring: 2–4 months between maintenance. Hair can be repositioned.
What affects lifespan
- Hair quality — virgin and remy last longer than standard.
- Care — proper washing, brushing and styling extend lifespan.
- Heat styling frequency — less flat ironing = longer lifespan.
- Your own hair type — oily hair may shorten the lifespan of bonded attachments.
